I keep coming back to this interview every once in a while…King’s just always seemed like a legitimately cool dude. Supernatural Addiction got me through some heavy darkness. On the way home from visiting my late wife in the hospital during the time she was losing her battle with the big evil…cancer. I’d be blasting Dark Chilling Heartbeat & yelling along at the top of my lungs, hitting the steering wheel ya know.

Hey King, my favourite albums are the last 5 and I thought Ghostly White was fantastic, however I think you missed the boat with the album title. How could you have not called it ‘Thoughts from a leaking Brain.’ That would have made an awesome album title.

Usually I don't notice, unless it is obvious, but you can hear Danny Clausman thumping along on bass. It's a good bottom sound to match the grinding guitars of Erik Lundgren and Robbie Gay.

first time i heard about the album is an interview of max cavalera saying he bought the album just for the cover and absolutely disliked it when hearing it, guy sure though it was a venom type but yes it kinda sounds like AlanParsonProject this song.

A GREAT Australian band from the early 80's - Australia had many that sadly were ignored by Australian radio, TV, the industry in general but HEAVEN were one of the best! \m/

I found this band in a really dumb way, and have ended up getting really invested in them and their history, albeit with a very limited amount of information available. From what I've been able to gather, the band was started by Maryann Scandiffio in 1981, in America. With her joined two brothers, Anthony and Carlo Fragnito, as well as Steve "Budgie" Werner on drums. What the band was doing between 1981-1983 I am unsure of, but in 1984 they released Unlaced, their first album, and later in 1985 "Get It While It's Hot", which would also have a promotional video of their single "I Like To Rock". In 1987 the band would end up disbanding due to complications with their record label shutting down, as well as facing lawsuits following unknown incidents at live shows. Maryann Scandiffio would end up chasing a solo career, and joined/created a few other bands, but none seemed to garner any sort of success, which is a shame. Where she is now I have no idea, and trust me, I have looked far and wide across the web trying to find out about anything, but there's quite literally nothing of her since the 90s. Steve "Budgie" Werner has a somewhat active Instagram account, where he seems to be playing drums for some smaller, more local bands. The Fragnito boys I'm not entirely sure of. According to Discorgs, they did some small stuff after Blacklace, and both would join Steve for a short while for a small project, that again, didn't seem to go anywhere. There were rumors that the band did get together again in the early 2000's to discuss a possible reunion, but clearly nothing happened there. Curiously though, the compilation album "Unlaced + Get It While It's Hot" released in 2002, so maybe that happened because of this. If anyone knows anything more about the band or its members, I'd be super excited to hear about it!

Absolutely agree. The video is entertaining for its dated elements, post nuke surprises, etc. But the song is solid hard rock ballad. The production alone is tops.

Great tune from a group of guys with faces made for radio. Reminds me a lot of Rainbow with Graham Bonnet.
